Your current team is not bad in terms of survivability and is a solid raid style team. However I would say the main issue is lack of damage. 3 of your characters output very little damage.

The key with Xbones is that he's not a tank - he's a fat DPS. Put him in for thanos and don't use his taunt unless required, let Drax be the meatshield. After yondu's arrow and gamora's blade has softened everyone up a bit he's the perfect cleaner to end the battle. He's good but he becomes great at level 60 Detonate upgraded.

Hand Sentry is strong as a tank since there is no taunt for the enemy team to debuff like Drax

Does Drax have enough speed and health to be an effective tank?, he never seems to be able to last long enough / taunt enough to be able to keep up.

Finally upgraded Yondu's regular attack to its last level. Removing a buff with every regular attack is actually a pretty big deal.

The question about speed is weird cause Drax starts with auto taunt, it's good his speed is slightly slower. He's got tons of health and solo tanks quite well for me, what gears is yours at?

If Drax gets slowed by quake while his taunt is up, that means it'll be up longer due to his next turn being delayed.

The issue is that if an enemy can debuff easily, hes not an effective tank. Yondu can do it with his basic, cap shield, etc

But he's fast enough that you usually get a turn + taunt before someone like Gam/Elek get their ultimate off, so at least they soak that up.

And before I went on vacay, I hovered around 400-500 in arena. Got pretty lazy and did the minimum two fights for the daily. Now I'm hovering around 1k lol. Haven't bothered with leveling up the team at all

Idk Deadpool and Cable are solid but not meta defining same with Mordo. You missed Iron Man event but likely would have been unable to get him. Ant-Man is pretty strong same with Wasp so might as well hop back in. Though if you weren't far or didn't spend money it could be advantageous to make a new account?

I opened 1 Orb and got 10 Shards, so I feel lucky. I also spent a few Cores for refills, but it all feel very slow

I did notice they are offering 80 Ant Man Energy at the same time you get the few Daily Energy refills, but that can only help so much

This is a slow grind with a timer attached, and that feels bad. It will take a lot of Cores from people if they are not careful

This Ant-Man event has presented us with an alternative campaign where we will fight with our S.T.R.I.K.E. team alongside the smallest Avenger.

  • There are 9 total nodes, and three difficulties to the campaign, with those difficulties corresponding to specific Character Levels, Gear Tiers, and Ability Levels.
  • Every node has the chance to drop Ant-Man Orb Fragment. 2000 of these are needed to open a single Ant-Man Orb.
    • In Easy, the nodes drop 50-100
    • In Medium, the nodes drop 75-150
    • In Hard, the nodes drop 100-200.
  • Out of the three campaigns, only the Hard level (lvl 55+) gives first-win guaranteed drops for Ant-Man Orb Fragments and Items.
    • This is especially good since Hard drop a majority of the "harder to farm" purple gear.
  • Completing the harder levels will "Auto-Win" the corresponding level in the lower difficulties of the campaign. This makes completing the Hard campaign much more worth your while.
Just like the other events, each Ant-Man orb drops between 5 and 20 shards, depending on how RNJesus is feeling towards you (typically, he lives an apathetic life).

Pros:

  • Unlike the raid events we've had up until now, you don't have to depend on your alliance. You can work at your own pace, and if you are a player who checks your game more often than others, then you can easily pop in, do a few fights for chances of drops, and get out. Quick & Easy.
  • We have the chance to get tons of Ant-Man Orb Fragments (I think the last node in Hard alone has a pile of 14000 fragments)
  • You can spend Power Cores to add 100 energy, so you can have more turns a day to farm. It works just like the regular campaign in that after 3 purchases, the Power Core cost begins to increase.
Cons:

  • You don't get the sense of having to work with your alliance. With Lvl. 50 Ultimus raids not being terribly difficult, and Alliance Wars not available, I'm really struggling to see the benefits this game gives for being in an Alliance...
  • Unlike the raids, you do not have a guaranteed drop of Orb Fragments. In the raids, you had a reason to complete them since you would be able to obtain those fragments. However, now we are simply left with a number of attempts given for each node each day, and must spend Power Cores to refresh them.
  • (I'm purposefully listing this one last for a reason. This is more theoretical as I'll explain later) You are ultimately limited on the amount of Ant-Man Orbs you can open since each node has a limit on how may fragments they can drop.

  • Since we have 528 free energy per day that means 1056 orb shareds per day; that gives 7-8 ( taking into account guaranteed shards) antman orbs, and that translates to 2 stars character.
  • With extreme luck if getting 15 antman shards per pull you might be able to unlock him as 3 star.
So I really hope I underestimated chances for orb shareds drop rate ;/

If you pay, it isn't an issue, I reckon if you're a F2P player you could maybe get 1-2 orbs a day? you'll be lucky to unlock it in the 14 days.

The reward of 5 character shards for (minimum) for 1000 energy is bonkers, 120 energy is 100 power cores (after 3 purchases of 50 power cores for 120) so 800 power cores for 5 character shards? that's £10, and you need 300 shards for Ant Man, £600?!?!

Are my maths correct? obviously worse case scenario, but still.

edit : no idea where I got 300 shards from!!!, it's 45 shards, so £90, not £600

I have 35 Ant Man Shads, which looks to be more than most, but it still feels like a crawl to unlock him. Not really a fun event for anyone - lucky or unlucky.

Before the event ends i gonna unlock 2 Star Ant-Man but no way im gonna be able to get 3 Star.

So it looks like I won't be playing until they get this fixed. The only way I can get the game to run is to completely disable the Google Play store. I did, and it worked, but then when I reactivated it to let it update another game, now I can't log in again. I'm not going to disable the play store every time I want to log in and play this. Hopefully they get the bug fixed quickly.

I got lucky and received 15 shards twice so far. I unlocked him yesterday and am already at 15 shards again. Don't give up, you'll get lucky eventually!

Yeah, never dropping any more real money on this nonsense. That $10 was enough for Cap. These events and drop rates are straight garbage.

So they raised the lvl cap to 65, and of course, all that XP you aren't while at 60 has dissipated into the ether!

I checked the game this morning, and now feel I have to many energys to keep track of. There is so many going at onc

And it looks like I will top at a 4* for the next event for Starlord
