After reading some of those who are supportive of Gunn's firing, I fully believe there's a small contingent on the left who don't care so much about right and wrong as they care about seeing people suffer.
Man, I never watched Slither. I am a fan of Tromeo and Juliet since I was a teenager (I find the weirdest mix of perversion, gross and cute ever put in film) and really like Super, but Slither. Nope. Just looks like gratuitous gore to me. How wrong am I?

Are companies really that afraid of Trump and his shitbag followers?
Slither is awesome. It's like a classic 80s critter style horror movie with a super great cast. It is super violent but it's tongue in cheek.Man, I never watched Slither. lol, what changed your mind?
Which is bizarre because the right can't boycott or protest for shit.Yes. Corporations have ALWAYS been more afraid of the right than the left. It's why right wing extremism is so effective at shifting the narrative and the Overton window.
It may be because most of the people who actually own and run these companies are right wing or have the deepest pockets. But in all honesty, I have no idea why.Which is bizarre because the right can't boycott or protest for shit.
Fine, 250k. Biggest one I've made yet. Let's see them go beyond that.
This is not intended in any way to disrespect her, but Brianna Wu is not a political leader. She's never been elected into any political office.
It's about to break 215k, your prediction is going down for sure. QUICK MAKE ANOTHER ONE
Yes. Corporations have ALWAYS been more afraid of the right than the left. It's why right wing extremism is so effective at shifting the narrative and the Overton window.
I don't mean to say the left can't have an effect on corporations because they absolutely can, just that the right seems to have to expend far less effort to get their attention.I don't know about all that. I mean look at what happened in North Carolina. The HB2 anti-trans bill had certain corporations boycotting the shit out of it, costing the state nearly 700 million dollars.
It's a big reason why Roy Cooper beat the incumbent.
What we're possibly seeing now is an overextension, bowing to the most disensgeonus of campaigns run by unsavory characters, with any and all nuance thrown out the fucking window.

Forbes contributor article about response to the news at SDCC and the spread of the subsequent backlash to the news.
"Let's prove we -and corporations like Disney- can tell the difference between a truly fireable offense and a smear campaign," said artist Bill Sienkiewicz, co-creator of Legion, in a Facebook post rallying support for Gunn. "[We need to] show the regressive Right (and the knee jerk overly fanatical and reactionary PC Left) that their warped tactics of political destruction and Bizarro vision of what constitutes accountability won't work any longer. Prove we have learned perspective and grasped what true responsibility is; what apologies, making amends and growth and personal evolution can mean these days."
Funny enough Family Guy gonna be under Disney after the Fox merger.
Details?I've just heard some very depressing rumors from someone I consider to be a trusted source about all of this. From what I understand-no matter how many people sign this, he's not coming back.
And it has to do with someone else's decision. Someone who has the clout to keep Gunn off the movie.

It seems pretty clear this was a knee-jerk reaction from Alan Horn before anybody in the Marvel camp could do anything, the turnaround from the initial report of the smear and his termination was insanely fast for such a large company.
Was their not rumblings that Dave wanted off GOTG anyway? I'm sure I heard that rumour a while ago

I mean I hate to be the one to say something definitive but the rumor I have been told-is that Chris Pratt didn't want to work with Gunn any longer.
This person may be wrong but things they've told me in the past have been proven true over time.
