Both abilities have been in monoblack ever since they began existing.

I think it works fine. Lifelink is as black as it is white. Haste should really work for anything.

The first creature with haste was monoblack.
Looking for thoughts on an idea for a format variant -
Minimum deck size: 65
Before starting remove any 5 basic lands from your deck and place them in the command zone
Once per turn you can pay X mana to place a land from the command zone into play tapped, where x = the number of lands you've moved from the command zone to the battlefield + 1
You can't do this if you went first and it's your first turn
What bird? The land enters tapped.not sure if giving everyone a guaranteed unboltable bird and a guaranteed uncounterable rampant growth is going to have the effect you want
One in the hand during upkeep for free gives burn a massive advantage. They could just build a deck with only those five lands in it. The exile card from hand in addition to the increasing cost might be a good idea, though. As would going into hand instead of directly into play.If you're going for the latter, just let everyone put one of the lands in their hand during their upkeep. Or make the cost "Discard/exile a card from your hand" or something.
Should also limit it to a single color. Or even

All wastes or only a single color feels like it'd favor monocolor decks to too great a degree, I think. They should have a consistency advantage, but I think not having to spend mana to fix their mana is enough of one.
Just trying to give players a greater degree of control over the consistency of their mana while trying to avoid favoring any archetype too heavily. Reduce the number of games that end before they begin due to mana screw/flood.What are your goals with this format? What experience are you trying to provide. This info would be helpful for giving feedback
Meh, I'm glad there are edicts and ways around hexproof in this set. Otherwise, barf. After playing against Vine Mare repeatedly on Arena lately, get me off this train.
Yeah, Sphinx is a limited bomb at uncommonit's gonna rescue a planeswalker that ran out of loyalty to do anything useful
got 'em
That's really nice. Merfolk already play a strictly worse card than this.
They carried me to platinum thought.
Bo3 ladder.Merfolk is strictly a BO1 arena deck yeah, but I don't know if it's worse than monored for that ?
If your opponent shocks her nothing happens, right? That's a bit disappointing.
Something you really don't want to Shock.
Seems pretty... Heroic.
