You know it!It's a sight to see. If the PS5 is the same size. What's the betting they'll find room ;)

I'm a bit baffled by this choice. Lots of casual customers will probably confuse it with Xbox One X.
I just realized, there's (seemingly?) no USB ports on the front. That's an odd decision, if true.
Imagine having a goal to make it the most immersive console in the market but have no VR lol.
Every human that cares about VR managed to be in this thread that's impressive.

A few weeks ago you were asking what the best VR system is for you to buy. What's with the complete 180?Why is VR synonymous with something being immersive? I hate VR, and I can find myself immersed by traditional games.
Thats not an option. That's an entirely different development cycle. I'm glad they're ignoring VR at the start.
Except on its side, the vent will be on the side, not the top.
As someone else said, I am sure there are people who possibly cannot fit it, but treating this like some giant living room consuming device is disingenuous.

As for why it's synonymous, probably because it's the most immersive medium. Immersion has always existed of course, but VR induces presence.
wasn't asking a question.Then don't get the xbox lol, i don't know what answer you're looking for.
"Super quiet" as in equivalent to the Xbox One X and I've read many posts of people complaining their Xs make too much noise.
There's supposedly one large fan at the top.
Yeah people saying it won't even fit sideways in their entertainment center must have some really limited options for A/V equipment. The Gamecube needed more height than this if you were going to put discs in it. Hell, my Onkyo AV receiver is 7" tall *and* needs ventilation space to the top, this needs it to the side.
It doesn't make it less immersive than say, Xbox One X, but it does make the whole 'most immersive console' point moot.Yes, I purchased a Rift S and it's not for me. Prior, I had played PSVR (before that post).
I don't mind people wanting to play VR. I like advancements in tech. I just don't feel like the absence of that support from a system makes it "less immersive". There are other ways to play VR.
In an effort to make the console "disappear" into your entertainment center, Microsoft designed it to be as quiet as possible: with a single, large fan pushing high volumes of air out of the top.
It's almost like everyone has different living conditions.Yeah people saying it won't even fit sideways in their entertainment center must have some really limited options for A/V equipment.
Ah, you're right. Sorry for being a dummy but what are the two things beside it? Seems like a button and something else.
Literal lol. Solid.Every human that cares about VR managed to be in this thread that's impressive.

Probably just a USB port.Sync button for controllers and I'm not sure what the hole next to the button would be for since it's too far away from the disc slot to be a manual eject.
Lol at comparing 'living conditions' to somehow not having 6" of height anywhere under or around your tv. Good lord I'm out.
Looks good I guess. Already started saving for one.
Also for the love of God have a decent first party line up this generation that isn't just Halo, Forza and Gears recycled every year.
Dude....... He was asking which headset to buy, bought the Rift S, tried it, didn't like it.It doesn't make it less immersive than say, Xbox One X, but it does make the whole 'most immersive console' point moot.
Also, you're still making no sense here. You purchased a Rift S, but a few weeks ago you said you were interested in an Index, and basically only now a few weeks later you hate VR. Like, what? Is there a split personality going on here? Do you hate it only when Xbox is involved or something?
Fair enough, I was under the assumption they had Rift S prior to that comment.Dude....... He was asking which headset to buy, bought the Rift S, tried it, didn't like it.
Seriously whats so hard to understand?
Forgot about the sync button. Ya, the eject button is beside the disc tray so that mystery hole is... Well, a mystery (to me).Sync button for controllers and I'm not sure what the hole next to the button would be for since it's too far away from the disc slot to be a manual eject.
