I imagine Nintendo was more than happy to 'allow' the information out that there will also be an upcoming Direct because there'd be riots otherwise.

So that's the "no second half of the month" pattern killed
That's also the "no announcements on Mondays" pattern killed

Furthermore, the announcement timings were adjusted to account for DST in the US.

What about Hello everyone, you know what this is not Indie World but this is General Direct let's get straight into the reveals starting with new Paper Mario game coming to the Switch.

While it sure looks like VentureBeat is dead on right, i would really wait until the Direct is actually announced next week before "confirming" things.

I don't think anything is confirmed for sure if we will still get a General Direct next week since a lot could change with the virus, but it's good to see that they aren't going radio silent on us for the time being.

Because all Directs this year (Pokemon) or Smash presentation were on Thursday so it will be announced on Wednesday probably. But there were times when it was announced 2 days in advance like 2 years ago. But just don't look much intro patterns.

A General Direct wouldn't be announced on a Monday if it was airing on a Thursday like it should be.

There aren't any such set patterns for indie worlds/game specific Directs though.
