This Part of the OT is focusing on subsidiaries inside Sony Interactive Entertainment, like PlayStation Productions or Bungie.
Alongside that, you will find an overview of support studios or potential partnerships with third party.

Originally based in Chicago (Illinois), Bungie concentrated on Macintosh games during its early years and created two successful video game franchises called Marathon and Myth.
In the year 2000 they were acquired by Microsoft and Bungie went on to create the
Halo Franchise (Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach) for the Xbox.
On October 5, 2007, Bungie announced that it had split from Microsoft and became a privately held independent company, while Microsoft retained ownership of the Halo franchise.
After that they signed a 10 year deal with Activision, creating another big franchise with Destiny.

As of July 2022 Bungie is part of Sony Interactive Entertainment.

playstation_third_party_collaborations.png

This section is dealing with the collaborations of Sony and Third Party Studios/Publishers, that vary in different forms of exclusivity and may build the foundation of future first party games.
there are different forms of partnerships mentioned in this section:

1st party collaboration = Sony published Games developed by Third Party Studios. Sony has the IP ownership over these
games.

2nd party collaboration = Sony is helping out with the Publishing and development of these Games. No IP ownership compared to first Party Games

3rd party collaboration = third party studio is working on a third party exclusive for PlayStation (time exclusivity, funding support, marketing - Sony doesn't own these IP's) -> e.g Kena, Sifu, Final Fantasy VII Remake

Something is bothering me since the new update is how close is the menu to game icons... (maybe was before but I noticed today...)

Look at the "Settings" word... is literally next to the game icons.

PlayStation Studios Thread Poll
By the end of each tread we will have a poll for the next thread title. With this post i want to clarify the guidelines for the submission of thread suggestions.

1. Everyone can submit a suggestion with a post inside this thread. It's important that you write the next OT Number in your post. Otherwise it won't be filtered out for me, since i always search the suggestions by typing the OTXX in the searchbar. (see below in the pictures)
9e8ybb3r.jpg

pc6oxwnh.jpg

2. Please refrain from posting suggestions that may give the impression of console warring. I know that most of these are meant as jokes and with no bad intention. But we don't need more Toxicity than we already have. If i have a feeling a suggestions might invoke that, i will not put it in the poll.

3. Please understand that if you make multiple suggestions in one post, that also sound very similar in their nature, there is a possibility that i will not put all of them in the poll. Sometimes there are so many names and i want to include everyone.
If you post multiple suggestions and want to make sure that certain ones make it into the poll, please tag me in that post.

4. Polls for the next thread will up around 18-19k posts of the current thread.

I liked the fimbulwinter title better have to admit. It made sense because fimbulwinter is right before Ragnarok.

I dunno, maybe because I've been hearing the "for the payers" joke since 2014. Still an excellently made OT, of course!

Here's to another wild OT filled with games, fun, and people rightfully pointing out that Peanut Butter is an abomination!

Great job! :)
One question: I thought Bluepoint was working on two projects. One bigger and one smaller one. Wasn't that confirmed?

Great OT! Housemarque banner looking good. I should play Returnal again.

New OT great work.
The new banners look very clean i like it.

Thought the Ragnarok title would win as it had such a big lead after the first day.
