Twitter will never ban this piece of shit because Twitter is run by cowards.
The only way they would take action would be if right-thinking individuals who ALSO drive traffic to the platform agreed, mutually, to all abandon their accounts en masse at once in protest. That's the only way it would happen. And they won't do that.

Essentially they need to do what the GAF community did in response to Evilore. They need to do that to Twitter in response to their protection of Trump.

The best time to do this should've been right after he was elected, damn.

Why does Trump get a pass for calling Sen. Warren "Pocahontas"? It's like if he was referring to Pres. Obama as "Blackie" or "Sambo". He's setting a wonderful example.

native people get shit on all the time, but since we're such a small population, our issues or racial slurs get overlooked. Look at the damn sports team logos -_-

Still baffles me how this clown is leading a nation, especially one as big as the US.

Decades from now, his presidency will be regarded as a black spot in America's history.

If Trump didn't have Twitter he'd probably just have a daily YouTube video or some shit with his ramblings also aired on Fox News.

Yes. I did in some fashion defend Trumps insult which hurt my argument, but i do know people in Canada who take advantage of the special rights we give to aboriginals. They do not live with the community, know of its various histories, support it, and in some cases are actively discriminatory against Aboriginals.

This is the place im coming from, not from a place to defend trump but from a place arguing against minority appropriation for personal gain no matter how mundane it is.

It's a touchy subject and it's obviously really bad to claim being something in order to get an advantage, but what is the line to say "Ok, now he is legit indigenous and deserve to get the reparation".

In the case of Elizabeth Warren, we don't have any element to think that she did that in order to gain something out of this. She could have done that as a political statement or because she feel really strongly about her heritage. The 16th part is irrelevant, it's not like it get diluted. Or you're have native ancestry or you don't. Of course, if you have the indigenous phenotype you'll experience a lot of thing that if you get the white phenotype, but it's all very accidental.

Is it really a "racial" slur if the person being insulted isn't even the correct race of the slur?

Anyways, it never made sense to me why Trump kept calling her that. People will either not "get it" or think he's being racist.

Yes. Let's say a White Father has a son that starts to hangout with Black people or whatever and then he says to his son "oh so you're a "N" now huh?"

Would that not be racist? While not on the same level as the N word, the intent seems clear to me and it's the use that is a problem.

Unfortunately the reason Trump keeps doing this is because it polls well. Warren's numbers among non-Democrats cratered after the Native gaffe started spreading. It plays well into one of White Middle America's big "fears" about Democrats: that they supposedly exploit identity and race to benefit themselves at the expense of "hard working" whites.

It's not really arrogance when the US has the largest military and economy. Everyone has to pay attention to what the US does. And Trump also hasn't changed that
Actually it's arrogange to claim that because it's false. China has the largest military in the world, and the EU has the largest economy.

She listed herself as a minority in an Association of American Law Schools directory, and Harvard at one point used her to counter claims that law school faculty were overwhelmingly white.
And this country has a long history of white people claiming to be 1/12th Cherokee in order to take land from Native Americans. Look at the way land deals were executed in the West.

Trump is an asshole though. He only cares about this issue as much as his racism can paint Warren, one of his critics, as a hypocrite.

I've read estimates that Trump generates up to $2 billion in annualized ad revenue for twitter. Twitter is a profit-oriented enterprise, it may be social 'media' but it isn't and never was a news service that should be held up to some kind of standard. It has no standards. It's inundated with porn and trolls. What's one more troll?

Since I'm not American and since my allegiance is in opposition to the west in general, I find the entire situation highly amusing.

Her entire claim was that her ancestors were Native American which is such a non issue.

But spouting stuff like Pocahontus is the equivalent of calling someone with Hispanic heritage Pedro.
It really says a lot about Trump and his base that, to them, it should be considered an insult to be anything other than 100% white. In a way, this is Trump admitting he's a white supremacist as clearly as anything else.

Ok let's just think through this: Twitter reported FY 2016 revenue of $2.5Bn. Donald Trump is not responsible for $2Bn of it.

Isn't he referring to Warren applying to Harvard saying she was a Native American?
He is referring to her identifying as Native American in the past yes. Warren did not get into law school because she claimed to be a minority. I think it's ok to disagree with what Warren did in the past, but, calling her "Pocahontas" which is a racial generalization term used on Native Americans, is completely out-of-line for anybody let alone the President. And like Trump really cares about that anyway. It's just an easy name for a bully to use.
