I've had this game since launch but I want to play this on my Vita. I'm sure it'll be a great experience when it's done :)
Reminds me of this old conversationwerezompire said:Is there enough demand for a dedicated thread now? We're not going to be actually showing off any footage of the game until next year (ideally soon before it comes out for maximum hype) so it'd just be me talking & answers. Might be better to wait until the trailer.
I haven't finished it because I'd rather play on Switch.I want this game pretty bad on Switch. Fingers crossed it happens soonish-ish :)
And yes, I realize the irony of waiting for the portable version of Battle Chasers comes out while hoping people don't wait for the portable version of CSH and just buy the game now. :)
There's a tiny chance, but only if it just works without me having to mess with stuff. Honestly, CSH has been so hard to try to get working perfectly on the Vita (RAM issues due to Unity inefficiency & all the uncompressed 2D art & animation we have) that I don't want to go through that again, especially now that a more than adequate replacement has arrived in the form of the Switch.
OSX port hasn't been cancelled. Mac & Linux ports should come out soon after Vita.
I was sad that the birdman choice lost, but I admit, Psybe is awesome. Probably my favourite character.
Oh yeah, I remember initial presentation about plot of CSH being "Alyssa getting in danger due to her identity being accidentally revealed". I assume this was very basic and vague description since one don't really want to give everything away, but even considering that I have to assume there were some noticeable plot changes during the development.Reminds me of this old conversation

If there's one thing we've def regretted it was announcing CSH so early in dev when things change and are amorphous, and also attention can deflate when it goes on forever before release. (Part of this was necessary since we KS'd it)
We gotta make sure we deliver on all the CSH stuff we promised too obviously.
I met you at PSX, super nice, I pre-ordered CSH as soon as it was up on PSN. Unfortunately it's still in my backlog but will be played soon!I'm here (Robert at Zeboyd)! Don't have time to talk right now, but I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Job system sounds great for the new game, but I'm not a fan of first person view in combat. Kind of a deal breaker.
Aww that's pretty disappointing to hear since I was holding out for that version. Oh well, guess I'll resort to PS4.It might come out on the Switch at some time in the future, but if it does, it's not any time soon. I don't have a Switch devkit and I haven't done any work on a Switch version. If we do a Switch port, it'll probably be after the next game comes out unless Nintendo changes their policies drastically.
Yeah, that's fair enough. Wish you all the best. The single most time consuming aspect of CSH was the on-map battles which is why we're strongly considering a 1st person perspective for the next game. Like it'd be cool if we could do every game like CSH, but CSH took us 4 years to make & hasn't broken even yet. If we can go back to making & releasing games yearly, it will be much more likely that we actually make money.
Wow a response direct from the dev. Thanks! It might come out on the Switch at some time in the future, but if it does, it's not any time soon. I don't have a Switch devkit and I haven't done any work on a Switch version. That's really sad to hear. Indie devs really have it rough. Does this mean you will need to use Kickstarter again for your next project?
