Wow, 15 pages already I still haven`t read the last 5 pages from the last thread. And only a night has passed. I am sure nothing important happened, so I will just continue here. I still think we can expect the Direct this week. If it doesn`t arrive this week/month, we have another 10 threads to fill.
You're lucky I'm not in charge .. I would trade in all the remake dreams for a ambitious brand new EPD IP in November.
Yes that would be great, but I don't think that Nintendo would use a brandnew IP as their big holiday title. It would be too risky and unsafe. I assume that EPD Tokyo will either make Odyssey 2 or a 3D Donkey. I think everything else is not very realistic. Maybe they will do a new IP as a side project (as it was for Captain Toad), but this won't surely be their main project.

Fair point though I'd say if the genre was big enough in scope (character action or 3d platform for example) it could be a tentpole .. all hopes and dreams though eh
I have high hopes for holiday 2020 bringing a new Donkey Kong game. I believe it is happening.
To me, each Donkey Kong game was a system seller: Wii, 3DS, Wii U, Switch. There are fans out there who love DK. It is wonderful for both kids and adults.
If Nintendo offers too many Mario games I don`t even get excited about new games.
Considering both Wii U and Switch release, Tropical Freeze surpassed 4 million. I hope it will come to 5 million all together. Yeah, DK has amazing potential - there can be 2D platformers, 3D platformers, racing games and also other new ideas can be done. DK is best in 2D platformers, so I hope they make many more. It is also fantastic that we could get new soundtracks by David Wise.
I'm all-inclusive, so the weird people who prefer Pikmin 1 over the other two get an epilogue segment with just Louie and the three basic Pikmin types.

I would love a Splatoon spin-off to come out this year. Probably my most wanted thing after BOTW 2.
