I'm at least getting Octopath, Pato Box and Pool Panic this month. Just got started on Mario + Rabbids after Hollow Knight, hoping to finish it before Octopath consumes me.

I spent much more than I was expecting to last month. I'm pretty sure I'm only picking up Octopath, but honestly, after the demo I'm not that excited about it anymore. Not only that, I'm enjoying Ys VIII quite a bit and I kind of never expected too. So that might just hold me over for a while.

Last months thread was great. I recognise so few of these games so it's good to hear everyone's opinions.

Last month I got 6 games, which might be my record. I will try to stick to those games and not get anything this month unless there's a crazy sale.

Rogue Aces is tempting me atm though. Has somebody regretted that purchase?

Same as you on all points. Never played an Ys game before and was real hesitant, but bought it based on the soundtrack alone and I'm absolutely loving it so far, and yes, liking it way more than what I played of Octopath

Anyway, I'm all in for sure on Bomb Chicken, Mega Man X and Pato Box(!!!), and might be in for Pool Panic as well.

*patiently waits for Octopath Traveler LE to ship*

Also not gonna spend $8 on it, but once again wanna say it's SUPER cool that Nintendo is finally embracing their more obscure arcade stuff & re-releasing Sky Skipper, a game that was pretty damn rare in the US and never got a single re-release.

My eyes are set on Octopath (physical though). Digitally I'm thinking Bomb Chicken and/or Park Box if those review well. I still need to give either Lumines or Hollow Knight a shot. Fingers crossed for Bad North potentially releasing in July!

Only just starting Ys so I'm in no hurry to pick up anything else. Bomb Chicken and Octopath are the ones I'm most interested in, and Banner Saga 3 once I've finished the first two.

Still super deep into Hollow Knight (I can face the final boss, but there is still so much I want to check out first). Should keep me busy until Pool Panic and Bomb Chicken come out. Going to wait for reviews first but those look like nice palate cleansers.

Still waiting for a trilogy collection before I pick up Banner Saga on Switch. How's the ports of 1+2?

Welcome, new home for the month.

My personal eshop highlights from last month are:

Pode: a lovely co-op puzzler.
Just Shapes and Beats: just shapes and beats! The best shapes and beats.
Lanota: a nice rhythm game.
West of Loathing: incredibly funny.
Hollow Knight: goty material.
Might add The Journey Down to that list, but I'm not even past the opening chapter in the second episode yet. First episode is decent enough, but I already played that years ago.

July has a ton of games that I want to try. I'm looking forward to Pool Panic, Bomb Chicken, Pato Box, Pocket Rumble, Super Volley Blast (hope it turns out to be good! 2 vs 2 local play is awesome for LANs), Candle, Taiko and the Journey Down episode 3. Will probably also pick up Yuso, Wardrobe and The Lion's Song. And there will probably be another handful of interesting titles that we don't know about yet. Like every month.

Bomb Chicken, Mega Man X Collection, Captain Todd and Sonic Mania DLC for me.

Another solid month IMO.

It seems like every month there's at least something I want on my switch, I only got my switch in November last year and I already have a backlog building up......

This month will only add to that, I'm probably going to pick up octopath and captain toad...I want to grab banner saga 3 as well, but I have a feeling that if I wait a while I can grab it on sale down the road once I've worked through some of the 11+ games I've been telling myself I need to play through that I already have sat on my switch :)

For those that played it already, how is Bomb Chicken?

It's sitting in my wishlist and I'm tempted to buy it since it reminds me a lot of the Wario Land games, but I'm not quite sold on it yet.

Yeah I want some impressions of Bomb Chicken. Some folks in the old thread said they had it already!

Geeze, guys... I'm still trying to make my way through Immortal Redneck. Rogue Legacy meets Doom? Hell yeah!

And yet I still haven't beaten it yet.

Is there anything else like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Switch? I mean an rpg with super deep combat and systems? Or a game with hugely varied environments? I've got a yearning for more Xeno-like games.

I've been playing Ys8 and it's been a great experience so far. I'm on patch 1.02 and haven't experienced any crashes so far. Framerate is mostly steady and I've been able to pull of flash moves and flash guards on a consistent base. The game does seem to have sharpening a bit too high for my taste but it's not a deal breaker.

Anyone looking for an RPG with good combat, good story and LOTS of grinding AND doesn't mind PS2 era production should pick up Ys...after all the patches are out.

Octopath, Flashback, Go Vacation and Titan Quest for me this month for sure, haven't looked closely at other games yet.

Looking forward to octopath, but due to traveling(and it having a good price with my prime discount) I'm grabbing shining resonance refrain after really enjoying the demo. Drowning in games, I've got at least one a month retail wise I want for the rest of the year!

Bomb Chicken and Pato Box for me this month, and I'm extremely pumped for the Sonic Mania expansion. I'm interested in Spiritsphere too after seeing some gameplay from the dev on Twitter, but not sure yet.

Getting Mega Man X LC and Octopath physically too, maaaaybe Code of Princess as well, pretty nice month.

Edit: Never even heard of that Heroki game until now, that looks great.

Thanks for the thread Tolkir.

In June, I picked up West of Loathing (which I really liked), played through Yoku's Island Express (really liked), the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2 (really liked), and Mario Tennis Aces (mixed on that). This month I have Octopath Traveler preordered, and might pick up stuff like Lumines, the DK Rabbids DLC, and Hollow Knight that I missed out on from June. Bomb Chicken looks cool too, and I can buy it from my wishlist, but I don't mind waiting on it.
